These terms do not supersede statutory rights under the Sale of Goods Acts, but are designed to clarify the principles and procedures by which we operate. Every care has been taken to ensure that the descriptions and specifications are correct on this website. However, while the colours displayed are a close representation, slight variations in the actual goods may occur. All measurements given are approximate.
Purchase And Delivery
We accept payment via Paypal. You do not need to hold an account with Paypal to make a payment and it’s one of the securest ways to pay online. No binding contract will exist between us until we have accepted your order. All goods are sold subject to availability, and can be placed on back order. Once we have received your payment we will dispatch your item by First Class Royal Mail within 10 working days.
Returns & Exchanges
While we hope that you are more than satisfied with your order, if for some reason you decide it is unsuitable please return the item(s) to us within 14 days of receipt.
We will offer you an exchange or refund, providing goods are in the same condition as when dispatched. Christmas Gifts must be returned by 15th January.
The parcel and its contents are, however, your responsibility until they reach us. We advise that you use recorded delivery as sufficient proof of postage, as we cannot refund or exchange items that are broken or lost during return transit. Please note that the cost of returning goods is at your expense.

Damage & Loss In Transit
If this happens with your shipment, please advise us and we will supply replacement goods as quickly as we can. We will also refund the cost of return for any damaged items, providing you send it by 1st or 2nd class recorded delivery. However, since we never knowingly ship damaged goods, if you do receive damaged goods, please make sure that you sign for it as ‘Damaged package; goods not yet inspected’ or similar for proof and so that we can make a claim from the carrier. Whatever the circumstances, please contact us by phone or email before returning goods.
Credit Card Security
Orders are processed by a secure-server using 128-bit encryption. Your credit-card details are not stored on our site. (to be added to)
Currency & Pricing
All prices shown in this website are quoted in pounds sterling and are inclusive of VAT (credit cards sales will be charged in your local billing currency by your credit card provider). Data entry errors or other technical problems may result in inaccurate prices being shown. In such cases it is not required to honour this price. If you see any price you believe to be incorrect, please contact us so we can verify it for you.
Duties And Local Taxes
Purchasers are responsible for any duties and/or taxes levied at the point of entry into the destination country. A commercial invoice is provided with all goods shipped. You shall not be entitled to cancel your order on the basis of unforeseen duties or levies.
Payment And Retention Of Title
Under normal circumstances, goods must be paid for prior to despatch. If, for any reason, goods are shipped prior to clearance of payments, title in the goods shipped belongs to Jane de Bono Accessories & Homewares until payment is made in full for goods received by us.
We undertake to exercise all reasonable precautions to keep information supplied to us by customers strictly confidential. We do not supply our ‘mailing information’ to third parties but do use it to advise our clients of goods and services we feel may be of interest to them, unless expressly instructed otherwise in writing. Information supplied to us may be stored on a computer system for our convenience, but will not be supplied to any outside agency. We prefer you to use the secure transaction services to make credit card transactions since this service is completely independent of our organisation and your credit card details are not divulged to us at any time. Applicable Law and Courts of Jurisdiction: All transactions undertaken through this website are governed by English Law and any legal actions arising out of such transactions shall be subject to the English Legal processes and under the jurisdiction of English Courts.
